Hey all, just wanted to put in words what I couldn't say, and complete some thoughts. I won't be raiding anymore. This isn't on anyone in guild, this is due to conflicts with RL that I have to fix. I will be on periodically, more likely earlier in the day though. This guild has been my home for the last two years, and it has absolutely been a worthwhile trip.
Taking a trip down memory lane, I remember when I joined and stepped into my first raid. Andry and Turu leading a Twins run into Sunwell. Back in the days where Lana was a lil' resto shammy. I got into raid, and was absolutely shellshocked at the coordination of the Felmyst fight, and felt I was in way over my head. I had barely seen the first set of trash, let alone several bosses in. We got to the Twins, and the second attempt in, I fell off the ledge, and felt like a jackass. After that I made doubly sure I wouldn't fall off again.
That is my first, and to be honest my favorite memory of being here. Everybody has their on days and off days. Keep your confidences high, because how many successful guilds are getting this far?
A shout out to the raiders, you guys are awesome. Plain and simple. Your ability at this game is nothing short of amazing. Keep the focus on getting the Prof down, as well as the others. In the weeks and months ahead, you guys will be chuckling about the struggles on them, because you will be well past them.
A shout out to the raid leads and counsel. Thank you for the opportunities you have given me. I'm sad I can't continue in that aspect, but I am forever grateful that I got the opportunity. Guilds come and guilds go; LB, their structure, and their raiding are here to stay for a long long time.
A shout out to the friends of guild. You are a great group of people, who are an asset to the guild. Always available to help when asked, self-less, and great people all-around.
When I got the opportunity to raid lead and were starting to push through to ICC, Varsity Blues kind of inspired this little speech, and it's the truth imo...
Go out there, and push through ICC, and leave it all in the raid. We have time outside of raid to be mediocre, but now you have the opportunity to raid better than any other guild out there. But you can't be afraid, there is no room for fear in this game. If you go in there and half-ass it because you're afraid, all you're left with is an excuse and you're always going to wonder. But if you go in there and give it absolutely everything... that's epic.
I will see you all around, and remember: Killing is our business, and business is good
